The Bearded Lady

The majority of females have little hair on their faces.  We are all covered in hair but besides the eyebrow area, facial hair is usually very sparse and light in color.  Usually an abnormal amount of hair can be traced back to some type of hormonal cause.

Some women experience an abnormal growth of hair on their face during menopause.  Menopause affects everyone differently and facial hair is a possible side effect.

There’s also a medical condition called hirsutism which is typified by excessive body hair and is usually a sign of a hormonal variation.

No matter how natural it is, women very rarely want any obvious visual signs that they have facial hair.

We will do anything to maintain a hair free face to the world.  We use tweezers, we shave, and we use the harsh depilatories.
